Welcome to Desert Bloom Herbs !!
The Sonoran Desert blooms gloriously in the spring.
If you'd like to travel with us on this trip, to see the Sonoran desert in full bloom, learn about medicinal plants, and let us introduce you to the techniques for making plant medicines, please check our our annual Sonoran Desert Field Trip section, to view some photos of this very interesting early spring event. We recommend reserving your spot early by giving us a call in February.
Desert Bloom Herbs has changed the way we are doing business, because of new F.D.A. regulations regarding the manufacturing of herbal products (dietary supplements). Under this new format, you must become a patient of Desert Bloom Herbs / Richard McDonald, in order to access our services, and any medicines we make, which are designed to be taken internally. Please click on the link below, to begin the simple, and completely free process of becoming a patient of Richard McDonald.
Becoming a patient of Desert Bloom Herbs does NOT interfere with any other medical insurance coverage you may already have. Services and products are paid for "out of pocket" by each individual patient. We do not accept any form of health insurance policy, or reimbursement.
Richard McDonald is an Unlicensed Traditional Health Care Provider, working in Silver City, New Mexico, U.S.A. He has been a practicing Clinical Herbalist for over 22 years.

ORDER OUR LOCALLY GROWN.. ETHICALLY-HARVESTED HERBS
Desert Bloom Herbs company creates many fine herbal products, using herbs which we ethically wildcraft from the deserts, pinon~juniper zone, and high alpine regions, within a three-state area. We also obtain other source materials from various certified organic growers we trust, and with whom we've had a long-standing business relationship.
We use only organic grain or grape alcohol, and the finest quality local bees wax & honey, natural oils, and high quality essential oils in our product formulations. These herbs, which come from several herbal traditions, including the Native American, Mexican, Chinese and European systems of herbal medicine, are skillfully prepared, and combined in the products we make for our patients. Formulations have been refined over time, and have proven to be effective over a 16 year period, for their intended purposes. We continue to receive warm appreciation from our long-time clients, and wonderful feedback about the effectiveness of our products.
I lovingly refer to this very effective group of fine Traditional products as:
"Herbal Products of the Sacred Southwest"
